CJSL Partners with Juventus Academy New York for the 2025 New York Winter Tournament: Expanding Opportunities for Outdoor Winter Play

The Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) is excited to announce its continued partnership with Juventus Academy New York for the 2025 New York Winter Tournament. The outdoor competition, which launched in 2023 with 23 teams, has more than doubled in size this year, with 49 boys' teams from Under-10 to Under-16 set to compete.

Giovanni Russo, founder and President of Juventus Academy New York, emphasized the purpose behind the Winter Tournament. “We created this tournament to give young players the chance to continue improving outdoors year-round. Indoor soccer and futsal have their benefits, but transitioning back to outdoor play in the spring can be challenging. This tournament bridges that gap, helping players maintain their performance levels in a competitive and safe environment.”

Reflecting on the partnership, Paul Kontonis, President of the CJSL, said, “We are proud to support Juventus Academy New York in offering a unique winter tournament that provides our teams the opportunity to keep playing outdoors, even during the colder months. The rapid growth of this tournament shows how important year-round development is for our players, and we’re excited to see the competition continue to flourish.”

The tournament will kick off for the Under-10 to Under-14 age groups on December 7th and 8th, 2024, with the Under-15 to Under-16 teams starting on January 4th and 5th, 2025. The full schedule of playdates is as follows:
