CJSL 4v4 D-League Games
For ages U7- U8, the CJSL 4v4s are fun, development-focused games designed to put players first. There are no scores or standings—just fast-paced, small-sided play that emphasizes creativity, ball control, and learning through the game itself. With flexible training, inclusive teams, and 10-player rosters, every participant gets meaningful touches, smart decision-making moments, and a supportive, positive environment.
CJSL’s 4v4 D-Games focuses on player development, creativity, and enjoyment over results. By removing scores and standings, we create an environment where young players can explore the game, take risks, and build skills without the pressure of winning. The emphasis is on learning, teamwork, and fostering a lifelong love for soccer.

CJSL 4v4 Development League – The Sideline Project
The Sideline Project was created by Soccer Parenting to address negative sideline behavior in youth sports. It recognizes that the actions and words of parents, coaches, and spectators can directly impact player development, referee retention, and the overall enjoyment of the game.
CJSL has adopted The Sideline Project for all U7/U8 teams to ensure our youngest players enjoy a fun, respectful, and supportive environment. This 15-minute online course and pledge—created by Soccer Parenting—educates parents, coaches, and spectators on positive sideline behavior. By reducing yelling, criticism, and negativity, and increasing encouragement and respect for referees, we help our 4v4 D-League players focus on learning, growing, and loving the game.
