CJSL Launches Local U.S. Soccer Coaching Courses This Spring
As part of its ongoing commitment to developing youth soccer at every level, the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) is offering a new slate of U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching Courses in spring 2025. These hybrid-format courses — which include both virtual classroom sessions and in-person fieldwork — will be held in multiple boroughs, including Manhattan, Astoria, and the Bronx. Among the offerings are all-female course options, further supporting inclusivity and accessibility in coach education.
The courses will be led by Darren Marshall, CJSL’s Director of Education and a licensed U.S. Soccer Coach Educator. Marshall brings a wealth of experience working with youth coaches throughout New York and is known for his practical, inclusive approach to training. His work continues to raise the bar for coaching standards across CJSL’s network of clubs and teams.
“We’re not just focused on the players,” said Marshall. “We’re also investing in the people who guide them — coaches, mentors, and community leaders. These courses are a direct reflection of our mission to provide meaningful, high-quality development for our soccer community.”
