Step-by-step instructions for Club Administrators to manage teams, players, and official rosters in the GotSport system.
The Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) uses the GotSport platform to manage club accounts, team registration, player documentation, and official team rosters. The guide below outlines the process club administrators must follow to set up teams, add coaches and players, register teams to the correct events, and submit documentation for league approval. Following these steps ensures that players are verified, rosters are properly built, and teams are fully approved for participation in CJSL competitions.

CJSL GotSport Club Administration Guide

Below are the required steps clubs must follow to have their teams and players ready for participation in league play through the GotSport system.

Weekly Player Approval Deadline
The weekly deadline to submit a Player Verification Form to CJSL for player approval of documents is Thursday at 12:00 PM. Submissions received after the deadline will not be reviewed until the following Monday when the league office reopens.
Step 1 — Create a GotSport Club Account
Step 2 — Create and Add Teams to Your Club Account
Step 5 — Register Teams to an Event
⚠ Important: Review CJSL Roster Rules Before Building Team Rosters
Before continuing to Step 6 – Building Official Team Rosters, club administrators should review the official CJSL Roster Rules. These rules explain player eligibility, roster limits, team level requirements, and important policies that must be followed when creating teams in the GotSport Roster Builder. Reviewing the rules first helps ensure rosters are built correctly and avoids delays in player approvals later in the season.

Step 6 — Building Official Team Rosters in Roster Builder

Roster Builder is used to build teams and assign players and staff to those teams.

Step 7 — Submit Player Verification Form
Step 8 — Check Player Approval Status
Step 9 — Make Player Registration Payment
Important: CJSL Match Roster Requirement
For all CJSL matches, teams must provide an official roster to the referee and the opposing team prior to kickoff. Clubs may print either of the following documents from GotSport:
  • Official Team Roster (full team roster)
  • Match Day Card (game-specific roster showing attending players)
Both formats are accepted for CJSL league matches. Coaches should bring at least two printed copies to every game — one for the referee and one for the opposing team.
Special Note: Players or coaches may NOT be handwritten or penciled onto either roster. All players and team officials must appear on the printed roster directly from the GotSport system.
Step 10 — How to Print Out Team Rosters for Matches

Before each match, coaches must print (2 copies) of their Official Match Day Roster from the GotSport system. These rosters must be provided to the referee and the opposing team prior to kickoff.

Match rosters can only be printed once the team's official roster has been approved.

Step 11 — Build Match Day Roster and Print Match Card

Before each match, the Match Day Roster must be set for the specific game in GotSport. This roster determines which players and staff are listed on the official Match Card (Game Sheet).

Depending on your club's workflow, this step may be completed by a Club Administrator or by the Team Coach / Manager.

In GotSport, the match day roster is created by selecting the players attending the match and adding them to the Attending list. Once the roster is set, the Match Card can be printed directly from the match page. Always print out (2 copies) One for the referee and one for the opponent.
