CJSL Launches Player Placement Tool Ahead of USYS Age Group Transition

As we all know, U.S. Youth Soccer has announced a national transition from the current calendar-year (January 1 – December 31) age formation model to a school-year (August 1 – July 31) model, effective August 1, 2026.

To support clubs during this transition, CJSL has developed and launched a new resource:

CJSL Player Placement Tool

This tool was created to provide a clear, accurate, and reliable way for clubs to determine proper player age group placement under both the current and upcoming USYS models. As the August 2026 implementation approaches, this resource is designed to reduce confusion, prevent placement errors, and assist clubs in roster planning.
