The Next Step for Top Teams Is Here

CJSL is proud to introduce the Inter League Alliance (ILA)—a new competition platform developed in collaboration with leading leagues across the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association.

Launching this Spring 2026 with a Boys U12 pilot program, the ILA introduces a new standard for regional play, bringing together top teams across leagues in a structured environment designed to push performance, connect leagues, and elevate progression across the region.

The ILA is a Spring-only competition, with each league’s Fall season serving as the qualification platform for participating teams.

The Spring 2026 pilot will consist of 9 teams from leagues within ENYYSA. With planned future growth across other age groups on the boys and girls side.

Participating leagues include:

  • Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL)

  • Hudson Valley Youth Soccer League (HVYSL)

  • Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL)

  • Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL)

The Inter League Alliance reflects the vision of our late President, Paul Kontonis, whose leadership and dedication to the game helped kick-start a new level of collaboration and higher standards across the leagues.

What makes the ILA truly unique is its first-of-its-kind promotion and relegation model across state leagues.

Participation is earned through Fall Home League performance—but placement alone does not guarantee entry. Teams must be registered and actively competing within their respective Home League during the Fall season to be eligible, as this is not an open registration platform. Top teams then become eligible, with final selection based on results, league review, club readiness, and alignment with ILA high standards, with participation ultimately confirmed by invitation only.

This is not a registration-based competition—it is a selective, merit-based platform designed to ensure that every team meets a defined standard, creating a true pathway into a higher-level competitive environment across the region, thus providing meaningful progression opportunities for teams within our region.
