Welcome Erick Molina to the CJSL Team
We are pleased to welcome Erick Molina to the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League, where he will officially join the CJSL office beginning Monday, September 14.
Erick brings more than eight years of experience in the New York City soccer community, with a background in youth programming, league operations, scheduling, registration, referee coordination, tournaments, club support, and communications. He is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
A significant part of Erick’s youth soccer experience came during his four years with Socceroof in Brooklyn, where he served as Youth Program Director & Assistant Manager. During his time there, he helped grow youth participation to more than 300 players, developed programming from the ground up, managed relationships with NYC youth clubs and schools, and was involved in the day-to-day operation of youth and adult leagues, tournaments, scheduling, staffing, and events.
Born in Ecuador and raised in Queens and Long Island, Erick originally began his professional career in finance before deciding to follow his passion and build a career in soccer. Since then, he has worked across many different areas of the NYC soccer landscape.
During COVID, Erick taught himself graphic design and photography as a creative outlet. That eventually grew into Undrgrnd Futbol, through which he has worked within the NYC soccer community and provided services to CJSL member clubs, including Brooklyn City FC and Manhattan Soccer Club.
Erick shared why joining CJSL is particularly meaningful to him:
“I've spent my career working around youth soccer in this city, and CJSL is the league so much of it runs through. There's something genuinely rewarding about helping a league with this much history keep running strong and, in doing so, helping the clubs and families behind it.”
His combination of youth soccer experience, league operations knowledge, creativity, and familiarity with the NYC soccer community will be a welcome addition to CJSL as we continue to strengthen the support we provide to our clubs, teams, coaches, referees, players, and families.
