CJSL 2025/2026 Player Registration: What Every Club Needs to Know

CJSL 2025/2026 Player Registration: What Every Club Needs to Know

As we head into the 2025/2026 seasonal year, the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) remains committed to supporting our member clubs with a seamless and unified registration process. Once again, CJSL will handle all player registrations for CJSL, EDP, NEAL, RAL, and NAL through GotSport—ensuring one streamlined platform for competition across the region.

Whether you’re fielding a U7 Travel squad or a Premier-level team competing in multiple leagues, it’s critical that your club administrators and coaches understand this year’s updated registration and roster policies. Here’s everything you need to prepare.

KEY DATES

  • July 1, 2025: Roster Builder opens—start building your 2025/2026 teams.

  • August 1, 2025: Start of the new season. All new player registrations and approvals become active.

Note: 2024/2025 registrations remain valid through July 31, 2025.

ROSTER BUILDER BASICS

When building team rosters in GotSport:

  • Register for the correct carding event based on the league your team will compete in.

  • Label all teams and players by level of play:

    • Premier: EDP, NEAL, RAL, NAL

    • Travel: CJSL

    • Per Player Fee: $26

ROSTER RULES: PRIMARY, DUAL, AND CLUB PASS

  • Every player must be listed as a Primary on one team in your club.

  • If a player needs to join a second team, add them as a Dual via Roster Builder.

  • For occasional use (helping another team, playing up), use the Club Pass.

MULTI-CLUB REGISTRATION: KNOW THE RULES

Players may be registered with multiple clubs only if those clubs participate in different leagues. A player cannot be Primary or Dual with more than one club in the same league.

✅ ALLOWED:

  • Leo Messi (Primary with SUSA in EDP)

  • Leo Messi (Dual with Soccer Kids NYC in CJSL)

❌ NOT ALLOWED:

  • Leo Messi (Primary or Dual with both SUSA and LISC in EDP)

ROSTER SIZE LIMITS

All age groups may carry up to 30 players on a roster. Minimum required to register a team:

  • 4v4 - 4 players

  • 7v7 - 5 players

  • 9v9 - 6 players

  • 11v11 - 7 players

PLAYER REGISTRATION BEST PRACTICES

  • Only Club Admins may upload player photos and proof of birth.

  • Use the parent/guardian’s email—never a club or personal email.

  • Photos must be headshots only and age-appropriate.

  • Names must exactly match the proof of birth document (include all last names).

  • Players previously approved do not need re-approval, unless documents have changed.
