CJSL Congratulates Jimmy Svendsen on Election as ENYYSA President
September 30, 2026
The Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) proudly congratulates longtime CJSL leader and Hall of Famer Jimmy Svendsen on his election as President of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA).
Jimmy was elected at the ENYYSA Annual General Meeting on September 26, succeeding longtime President Richard Christiano.
For the CJSL family, Jimmy’s election is especially meaningful. His connection to our league spans more than five decades, beginning as a youth player with SC Gjøa in 1973.
Over the years, Jimmy has served the CJSL in nearly every capacity imaginable. He joined the CJSL Executive Board in 1982, spent more than two decades as Treasurer, and served two terms as CJSL President from 1998–2000 and again from 2016–2018. He was awarded CJSL Lifetime Membership in 2005 and inducted into the CJSL Hall of Fame in 2013.
Jimmy’s commitment to youth soccer has extended well beyond the CJSL. He has also served Eastern New York as a Treasurer and Trustee and was inducted into the Eastern New York Hall of Fame in 2017.
The entire CJSL community congratulates Jimmy on this tremendous honor and wishes him great success as he begins this new chapter of leadership. We look forward to continuing to work together to strengthen and grow youth soccer throughout New York.
Congratulations, Jimmy! Your CJSL family is proud of you.
