An Exclusive Coaching Education Experience in Cologne, Germany

April 22–27, 2027

The Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League is excited to announce a special international coaching education opportunity for CJSL coaches — a six-day immersive experience in Cologne, Germany with 1. FC Köln, organized in partnership with Navigo Sports Tours.

This tour has been custom-designed for CJSL and will give our coaches the opportunity to step inside the environment of one of Germany’s historic professional football clubs and experience firsthand how the game is taught, trained, developed, and lived at the Bundesliga level.

This is much more than a trip to Germany.

It is an opportunity for CJSL coaches to learn, observe, engage, and experience European football culture together while bringing new ideas and perspectives back to their players and clubs in New York.

THE EXPERIENCE

Throughout the tour, CJSL coaches are scheduled to participate in a combination of classroom education, on-field tactical sessions, professional training observation, match experiences, and cultural activities.

Highlights include:

Coaching education directly with 1. FC Köln coaches
On-field tactical training sessions with pre-session tactical instruction and post-session coaching reflection
Introduction to the game and training philosophy of 1. FC Köln
Opportunities to observe 1. FC Köln professional, women's and/or youth teams training or competing

Visit the club's Geißbockheim training ground
Visit the German Sport & Olympic Museum
Guided tour of Cologne, including the world-famous Cologne Cathedral, Old Town and Rhine River

The coaching sessions are designed to go beyond simply watching training. On-field sessions include discussion of the tactical topic and team context followed by opportunities for coaching reflection and discussion with 1. FC Köln staff.
