Did You Know? CJSL’s Player Eye-Wear Policy Keeps Safety in Focus

When it comes to protecting our players on the pitch, the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League doesn’t blink. One important rule that sometimes flies under the radar is our policy on player eye-wear—a small detail that plays a big role in safety.

Here’s what you need to know:

Before every game, referees will inspect player eye-wear to make sure it meets safety standards. If any eye-wear is deemed unsafe, the player won’t be allowed to participate until a safe option is provided. No exceptions.

What’s allowed?

✔ Glasses with flexible frames

✔ Sport goggles

✔ Contact lenses

What’s not allowed?

✘ Standard rigid-frame glasses

Why does this matter? Because in a fast-paced sport like soccer, collisions happen—and rigid glasses can cause serious injury. We’re committed to keeping every player safe while they focus on what they love: the beautiful game.

So before kickoff, make sure your gear is game-ready—and that includes your glasses.
