Keep Our Players Safe: Immediate Action Required on ENYYSA Compliance
At the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League, safeguarding every player is non-negotiable. As adult members of our community—coaches, managers, administrators, and volunteers—it is our shared responsibility to ensure youth soccer remains a safe, development-first environment. A recent review of adult registrations in GotSport shows many individuals with expired or incomplete requirements. This must be corrected immediately to keep teams in good standing with ENYYSA and CJSL.

Who Must Comply
All adults affiliated with CJSL under ENYYSA—including coaches, managers, club administrators, and volunteers—must be registered and fully compliant.
Required Certifications
To achieve and maintain compliance, complete the following:
Background Check
SafeSport Certification
Heads Up Concussion Training
Coaching Certifications (for coaches and trainers only)
Important Notes
Risk Management is mandatory for all adult participants to protect the safety and well-being of our players.
Non-compliant coaches will not appear on rosters and cannot be on the sideline.
Club admins must have a cleared background check at minimum; without it, they cannot submit player forms.
Individuals who fail to complete these requirements risk removal from the GotSport system and their club’s account.
CJSL does not handle coaching requirement issues. For assistance, contact ENY directly: Diana Knight — Diana@enysoccer.com.
What Clubs Need to Do Now
Audit your GotSport adults (coaches, managers, admins, volunteers) for expired or missing items.
Complete or renew any outstanding Background Check, SafeSport, Heads Up, and—where applicable—Coaching Certifications.
Confirm clearance so coaches populate on rosters and are eligible for the technical area on match day.
Our Standard: Safety First, Always
CJSL is the proud standard for youth player development in New York City. That standard starts with safety. Thank you for acting now to ensure every team, staff member, and volunteer meets ENYYSA compliance so our players can train, compete, and thrive.
