Leagues Unite for the Kontonis Esperanza Cup

This past weekend, the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) proudly hosted the Kontonis Esperanza Cup, bringing together clubs, players, and families from across our area for a day of competitive soccer and community spirit.

The event was created both to honor the legacy of Paul Kontonis and to continue the work he had begun in bringing clubs together through meaningful competition and collaboration between leagues.

CJSL would like to thank all participating teams, coaches, referees, and families who made the day such a success.

A special thank you goes to our partner leagues Big Apple Youth Soccer League and Metro Kids Youth Soccer League for their support and participation.

We would also like to recognize CJSL 2nd Vice President Jonathan Puma, whose leadership and hard work played a major role in organizing the event. We also thank the CJSL staff and volunteers who helped ensure the day ran smoothly.

CJSL would also like to extend a special thank you to Alberto Entivero from Predators FC, for generously providing the field for the matches.
